Mrs. Jess James and son Kelly and daughter Ellen drove to Idaho Falls, Idaho Saturday. They will visit with Mrs. James sister and family, the Melvin Stratfords of that place. The Rudgar Palmer family are looking forward to a real reunion this week. A son Paul who has been laboring as a missionary in the Northern States Mission has been honorably released and is expected home, reaching Salt Lake City Wednesday. Give Dinner Party A highlight of the week was the dinner party held at the r home of Mr. and Mrs. Max Friday night. Four young women, Mrs. Max (Phyllis Mrs. Dee C. (Deon) Mrs. Gary (Dorothy) Rose and Mrs. Chester (Berniece) Kunzler Golden potential Gleaners were the hostesses and Mrs. Ferd (Cleo) Hirschi, Gleaner Leader and Mrs. Jess (Beth) James former YYWMIA President were honored guests. It was the girls way of saying, "Thank you" to two MIA Leadand ers who had encouraged helped them toward attaining the Golden Gleaner Award. Husbands of the women were also guests and the group were seated at a banquet table beautifully set with chira and silver. Daffodils formed the centerpieces and clever place cards Gleaner bearing the Golden symbol and fashioned by Mrs. Berniece Kunzler, designated seating arrangement. Roast turkey with "trimmings" dominated the menu. During the evening paid special tribute was also Ferd C. Hirschi for the many lessons he had given to the com bined and Gleaner clas ses in MIA meetings. Mrs. Fern Montgomery, Mrs. Joan Anderson and Mrs. Verda Jensen motored to Tremonton Tuesday. Attending to business and calling at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Jones for a brief visit. Spending a few days in Logan and Ogden, checking with a doctor and doing business, were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin James.
