Show Fielding Plans Benefit Event Social and Club News MRS. JOSEPHINE GIBSON WILL BIRTHDAY OBSERVE NINETY-FIFT- Attend Anniversary For Mother A family dinner is being planned to honor Mrs. Josephine Gibson on her ninety fifth birthday anniversary. Mrs. Gibson will observe the birthday next Monday, and her daughter, Mrs. Emil Kupfer, with whom she has lived for the past four years, will give a family dinner Sunday for the occasion. The 4 grandchildren, and 8 of Mrs. Gibson grandchildren are expected to be present. One great, great grandchild will not be able to attend. She is the oldest of a family of twelve children, Only one brother, Henry Nichols of and Mrs. Gibson are of living the twelve. Mrs. Gibson is feeling well and is able to help with the work in the home and take care of her own needs. Congratuations and best wishes are extended by friends and neighbors. Mr. and Mrs. Darrall Scothern and family and CJiver Scothern H great Tre-mont- Methodist Women Meet For World Day of Prayer WCTU Meets at Christensen Home The members of the Women's Christian Temperance Union met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Wallace Christensen in Tremonton. Three new members, Mrs. Dallas Gardner, Mrs. Warner Stoddard and Mrs. Alex Dicky, all of Honeyville joined twenty members of the club for the meeting. Business of the Union was discussed, a health program planned, and then a program given. Several musical numbers were presented and Mrs. P. E. Ault gave a history of Francis C. Willard, founder of WCTU. The members then signed a sympathy card to be sent to state president, Lucinda P. Jensen, on the death of her brother, David Petersen. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Christensen and Mae B. Corlett. ss The ward officers and members of Fielding are planning a Ward benefit evening, to be held Wednesday, Feb. 19 in their ward hall. They invite the public to participate with them. Two one act plays will be presented, there will be food to be sold and refreshments during the evening. Mrs. Rulon Hansen was in charge. The program was under the direction of Mrs. Henry Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Ellery Hall led the group in singing. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bunnell showed pictures of Iran where they had spent five years and of the Mesopotamia valley between the Tigrees and Euphrates rivers in Iraq. Mr. Burbank came up from Salt Lake City Sunday to visit at the Iverson home. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Loveday and Kenny came from Bountiful, also.
