James Cannon, director of the Utah Tourist and Publicity Council. visitors. Boosters from various parts of Utah are urged to forget regional differences and work for each other's good, Mr. Cannon said. As an example of this "Operation Reciprocity" theme, the state tourist director cited the recent gift of a beautiful 4x6 colored portrait of Bryce Canyon to Hotel Temple Square in Salt Lake from the Cameron Hotel-Motin Tanguitch. Allen Cameron of Panquitch, who presented the portrait, pointed out that tourist reciprocity among the various ports of Utah is the best way to make tourism the state's No. 1 industry. All Utahns should be aware of Utah's two great tourist assets, Mr. Cannon said: (1) unequalled scenic attractions, and el There is a dual purpose behind the "See Utah First" program, Mr. Cannon pointed out: (1) it means that Utahns will be spending their vacation money in their own state, and (2) Utah-"n- s will become so enthusiastic about the state's scenic grandeur that they will be able to sell Utah's attractions, to out-of-sta- te (2) unique historical heritage. There isn't a community in Utah, he added, that hasn't either one asset or the other, and most areas are liberally blessed with both. Utah communities are urged by the state tourist council to form a committee to capitalize on local tourist attractions, and also to cooperate with other parts of the state in "Operation Reciprocity." "Remember that the tourist dollar benefits every person in Utah," Mr. Cannon concluded. Monday Deadline On Tax Payment The Internal Revenue Service warns taxpayers that June 17th will be the deadline for the second quarter payment of 1957 estimated tax by individuals and for payment of second half of corporation income taxes for the calendar year 1956. This extension for payment is due to the June 15, fall on Saturday this fact that the regular due date, year. Remove from heat and add tea; brew 5 minutes. Strain into large container; add 3 cups cold water. STIR in Beet Sugar, apple juice and lemon juice, stirring until Beet Sugar is dissolved. WHEN ready to serve, add chilled soda beverage and pour into d punch bowl. Float ice chunk in center. Ladle into cups to. serve. Makes about 5 quarts. LIME-MINICE CHUNK: In the bottom of a small loaf pan arrange lime slices and sprig of mint in simple pattern; freeze firmly. Add thin layer water and freeze again; fill with water and freeze overnight into solid cake. Lemon slices may be used instead of lime. CUPS: Measure Vi cup Beet Sugar into small bowl; add 12 drops red vegetable coloring and blend in with fork; let dry before using. Rub cut ,surface of lime or lemon around rim of each cup; dip into tinted Beet Sugar.
