Enoch Iverson, 76, for-- mer Utah legislator,' died at his home in Dana Point, Calif., Thursday of a heart attack. He was born April 7, 1379, in Bear River City, a son of Nels and Mary Iverson. He married Viola Sophia Jenssn Oct 23, 1901 in the Logan Temple. She died in 1936. He later married Edith Circuit in 1 937 in Salt Lake City. Mr. Iverson served one term as representative from Box Elder County to the State Legislature, after which he became chief claims adjuster for the State Insurance Fund. He served a mission to Australia and was a member' of the Bishopric while living in Tremonton. Surviving are his "widow, and the following sons anfl daughters, Mary Iverson, Dana Point, Calif.; Mrs. Leland (June) Honeyville; Ms. W. S. (Thelma) Sorrell, Wountiftfl; Mrs. W. O. (Eulalia) Moore, Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.; Mrs. W. P. (Dorothy) Winkler, Palo Alto, Calif.; Mrs. M, C Ruth) Edwards, Carlisle Barracks, Pa.; and Glenn E. Iverson, Salt Lake City; also three brothers, two sisters, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Bear River Ward chapel by Bishop Vernon' Johnson. The chapel was filled with old friends and associates of the family. The prelude and postlude were played by Wanda Johnson and Lynn Iverson gave the invocation. The ward choir sang, "The Lord is My Shepherd", after which Evan Iverson gave a sketch of the life of the deceased. A vocal solo, "Face to Face", was sung by Marion Summers and Patriarch James Walton was the principal speaker. The closing song by the choiwas, "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow". The benediction was given by Eric Sten Hun-sake- r, - Oalf J. Joliaiisen Buried Tuesday Colen Petersen of the Third Ward Bishopric conducted appropriate funeral services for Olaf J. Johansen, 76, who 1;ed n Friday afternoon follow'jig operation and illness. He was born April 28, 1879 in Norway, a son of Johannes and Anna Mortensen Johansen. He married Petrine Johnson, Nov. 1903 in Norway. They came to the United States in 1906, and settled in Portland, Qre., then came to Tremonton the following year. He drove the Elwood school bus for many years and operated a farm here. Surviving are his widow, two daughters and a son, Mrs. Darrel Heaton, Tremonton; Mrs. J. H. Casey, Venezuela; Arthur Johansen, Pasadena, Calif.; eight three great grandchildren, and two sisters, grandchildren Mrs. E. G. .Solera, Minn.; and Miss Marie Johansen, Pasadena, Calif. The organ prelude and postlude were played by Geneve Walker, and Dr. E. H. White offered the invocation. The ward choir sang, "Though Deepening Trials", as the first song. George Stenquist and Fred Hansen then spoke of their associations with Mr. Johansen and of his life in this valley. A quartet sang, "Sometime We'll Understand", and Heber Anderson was the next speaker. Closing remarks were made by Colen Petersen. The closing song by the choir was ,"Oh, My Father", and Moroni Ward gave the benediction. Burial was in the Bear River City Cemetery by Rogers Mortuary. The grave was dedicated by Eric Stenquist. VISIT PARENTS Mrs. Homer Bartholomew and cmall son of Salt Lake City 'sent a few days this week with Mr. and Mrs, Ed Deakin. Mrs. Bartholomew is the former Betty Deakin. Bear River Citv mi 1 i i DISPLAY MODEL HOMES A display of model homes built during the past year at the Bear River high school were shown at the close of the school year when winners of the 6th annual contest sponsored by the Lumber Company were announced. The homes are constructed from FHA plans on a miniature scale. Gordon North, Stone, Idaho placed first; Hal Mason, Woman Buried Funeral services for Mrs. Athena P. Misrasi, 53, who died Friday after an illness, were conducted Tuesday in the Bear River ward chapel. ' Mrs. Misrasi was born Feb. 15, 1903 in Albania, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pulhiqi. She married Nick K. Misrasi, Jan. 10, 1926 in Albania. They came to the United States in 1932. Surviving are her husband, four sons and a daughter, Eli, Arthur, Stephen, and Monte Misrasi, Bear River City; Mrs. Lucille Craghead, Brigham City; also four grandchildren; three brothers and sisters. The large crowd and profusion of lovely flowers gave evidence of the sympathy of the people for the family in the loss of their wife and mother. Bishop Vernon Johnson conducted the service and Wanda Johnson played the prelude and postlude music, The first song, "Sometime We'll Understand", and the closing song, "Aide With Me," were sung by the ward choir. Prayers were offered by Doyle Archibald and Ronald Leonard. Speakers were Andrea Melvin Johnson and A. J. Taylor, with Bishop Johnson giving the closing remarks. Two other musical numbers were given, a vocal t duet by Juanita Steffen and Erma Hansen, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine," and a vocal duet, "In The Garden", by Harold and Lilian Felt.
