HARRISON A simple but effective trick which can be used to good advantage by the amateur lensman is the use of backlighting. Instead of having the sun or other main light source come from overhead, side or front of the subject, the light is allowed to come from behind. Backlighting tends to pick up highlights in any reflecting surface and imparts a pleasant feeling of texture to the objects snapped. Backlighting can also be used to produce complete silhouettes or glamorized shots with desired details visible. Now and then interesting mood shots of the city or street can be made if the camera-wieldis alert to the versatile uses of backlighting. are you Which reminds us alert to the horde of fine cameras and the very complete selection of photo supplies carried by C.
