Miss Faye Coombs of Ogden spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Coombs and family. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt were Mr. and Mrs. W. Mr. and Mrs. Noble Peterson and daughter, Louise, attended a "Homecoming" at Sacrament meeting at Newton Sunday evening for Miss Barbara Baldwin who was one of Betty Petersen's missionary companions at Norway. Weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bourne were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Robinson of Idaho Falls. Mrs. Wynn Hansen and Mrs. Quinton Allen held a "surprise" party for their husbands at the Country Club at Logan Saturday. The occasion was Mr. Hansen's and Mr. Allen's birthday anniversaries. Dancing was enjoyed afterwhich a buffet supper was served to twenty-fou- r guests. A special guest was Ralph Yoke of Chicago, 111., who is a house guest at the Hansen home. H Smith accompanied bv Mr. and Mrs. Jay Rhead and Mr. and Mr. Melvin Foxley were in Salt Lake City Wednesday evening to attend a missionary testimonial for Gary McFarland, a grandson of the Smiths. Harris received word from their daughter, Mrs. Charles Sharp from New York that the Sharps had a very enjoyable trip across the Unitdd States. Of special inter est to them were places of historic Church interest. They spent a day and night at Nauvoo. Illinois. ' After touring New York they sailed Wednesday afternoon on the "Goethals" for England where they expect to spend the next three years. W. P. Smith have received word that their daughter, Mrs. Max Beal of College Park, Md., will leave soon with her husband, Dr. Max Beal and their three sons to spend a year in Greece.
