GABBERT the former Miss Kayla Kerr who spoke wedding vows in the Salt Lake Temple September 16. MISS KAYLA KERR IS BRIDE OF SEPTEMBER Miss Kayla Kerr, lovely dau- ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kerr of Tremonton became the. bride of Mr. Clayton R. Gabbert Sept. 16. They spoke their wedding vows in the Salt Lake Temple ceremony with President Elray Christiansen officiating. Members of the two families were present for the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Clay Gabbert of Ogden, parents of the bridegroom, were hosts at a wedding breakfast at the Mansion House in Ogden, following the temple rites. A beautifully arranged reception was given the same evening at Tremonton Second Ward to honor the newlyweds. New Mrs. Gabbert was radiant in an original gown of tulle and lace over apple green taffeta. Pleated tulle and lace formed the fitted bodice. The sweetheart neckline was adorned with rhinestones and pearls. Sixteen panels of shirred tulle with insertions of matching lace were featured on the bouffant floor length skirt. Pink and white flowers tied with green ribbons trimmed the bottom of each panel. Her fingertip veil of imported French bridal illusion fell gracefully from a princess crown of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and feathered carnations tied with whites ribbon. The bride's four sisters were her attendants. Mrs. Calvin Carter was matron of honor, and the Misses Micheale, Jana Lee and Louise were bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns of light pink polished cotton accented by cumberbunds. They wore matching slippers and carried nosegays of green carnations and pink roses. Gordon Gabbert, brother of the groom performed the duties of best man, and LeGrande Lamb, Frank Wanlass and Robert Jones were ushers. were served Refreshments from small tables, each holding pink roses as a centerpiece. The young couple are making their home in Salt Lake City following a honeymoon trip to southern California. Mr. Gabbert will continue his studies at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is a member of the Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity. The bride graduated from the Weber College School of Nursing, where she was named Homecoming Queen last "year. She is presently employed at the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake City. WRITERS REALM MEETS IIS TREMOTOX Mrs. O. L. Brough entertained the members of the Box Elder Chapter of Writers Realm at her home Wednesday evening last week. The program of study was directed by Renie Little-woo- d of Brigham City. Their business meeting was held after the other meeting at the home of Joyce Woodward, who also served tasty refreshments. HONORED BRIDE-ELEC- T AT SHOWER Miss Cleora Pali of Elwood, who will be married this week to Mr. Frank Rawlins, was honored by her friends Friday evening. The gleaner girls of the ward sponsored a bridal snower for her Friday evening in the ward Relief Society- room. A large crowd attended the party and participated in making a bride's book to present to her.
