July EAST GARLAND By Mrs. Eph Peterson Clubs Enjoy 4-- H Animal Camp The two 4-- Clubs the Eager Rusv Bees with their leaders, Essie Peterson and Dorothy Potter enjoyed a three day outing at the County Camp at wninw Flats on the Cub River. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hansen furnished the transportation. Mr. and Mrs. Warren E. Hansen and family visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hansen at Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Shaffer were in Salt Lake City Sunday. Ha May and Susan, who had been on vacation there returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Demorist and family of Lake Side visited Wednesday at the Orval Grover home. Mary Korth of Nampa, Ida., spent the week at the Orval Grover home as guest of Joan Grover. On Monday evening a group of 13 young people gave her a surprise party at the Jasper Shaffer home.' They enjoyed a weiner roast in the back yard. Mrs. Inez Fife and Don Smith of Salt Lake City were Saturday night and Sunday morning guests of Mrs. Dora Shaffer. Mrs. Shaffer entertained with a chicken dinner Sunday for her daughter JoAnne and her fiance Dean Gunnell of Wells-vill- ing from an injury to her back., and Mrs. Ron Hales, Wednesday. Diane Bourne spent the weekShe is home bound and will be for some time. Her friends wish end at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bourne. her a speedy recovery. James of Salt Lake City visited Mr. and Mrs. Paul Larson Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Soren-son- , Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sorensen and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sorensen were in Logan Monday for a Barbacue party held at the Ray Somers. home for Mr. and Mrs. Fred Somers of Delaware, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Somers of California. The Somers boys and families and Mrs. Linda Somers visited relatives here Wednesday. g Sor-ense- n, Suffers Back Injury Mrs. Mabel Hadfield is s'uffer- - Ward during the week. Mrs. Fay Geary and daughters of Salt Lake City are here helping to take care of her mother, Mrs. Hadfield, and the children of Mrs. Doug Roche who is on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Roche and Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Cornwall are vacationing at Laramie, Wyo. They will attend the rodeo while there. , The ladies of the Jr. Birthday Club met Friday night to honor Ine? Johnson for her birthday. Seven members of the club were unable to be present but those present enjoyed themselves very much. Bishop and Mrs. Fay Thacker of Castle Gate, Ut., visited with the Ed Udys Friday. They are friends whom Mrs. Udy knew in Castle Gate and Heiner while and Mrs. Louis Larson and family and Vaughn Thompson were in Perry Monday Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Shaffer, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sorensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Pier-soattended the "South Pacific" at the University of Utah Friday evening. Mrs. Dorris Peterson and children Cleland and Yetta Karen and LaPriel Capener spent last weekend at Gunnison with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. L. Frances Peterson and family of Ogden were at the Dorris Peterson home Saturday to help Cleland celebrate his birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Fryer and she taught school there. Awaits Overseas Assignment Cpl. Dennis Riser returned to camp at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Friday where he will await assignment overseas. The Riser family enjoyed an outing on Bear Lake Monday. Bruce Korth of Nampa spent the week at the Riser home. Gaylen Grover of Ogden was with them for the weekend. New Mexico Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Eph Peterson and Rex and Mrs. Mart Riser, Brent and Lynn went to Ogden Sunday to meet Mr. and Mrs. Durrell Grover of Albuquerque, New Mexico. On arriving they got word they wouldn't be in until Sunday midnight so the group including Mr. and Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Riser and boys, Mr. and Mrs. Wildon Grover and Rhea, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cole and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Merritt enjoyed a picnic lunch at Lorin Farr Park. On Monday Mr. and Mrs. Wildon Grover brought the Durrell Grovers up. They were lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eph Peterson and visited other relatives here.
