Show FIELDING Mansn By Florence Polio Victim Goes To California For Advanced Treatment Friends of Mrs LaRee Holt Whitney will be happy to know that LaRee left St. Benedict Hospital at Ogden Wednesday afternoon and flew by plane to the Rehabilitation Center Hos pital Rancho Los Amigos, Cal., where she will receive advanced medical care. LaRee was strick en with Polio last September and has been hospitalized ever since. Her husband, Bob Whitney went to California with her. Anyone wishing to write to La Ree should address it in care of Hospital Rancho Los Amigos, Emperial Highway, Los Angeles, California. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Severson accompanied by Mrs. W. E. Potter of Farmington and Mrs. Willis Walton of Layton recently returned from an enjoyable vacation where' they visited at Mesa Verda, Colo., N. Max., and Southern Utah. They were guests at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Moon and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dudley at Jensen, and with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dunkin at Neola. Mrs. Wayne Secrist and family attended a Roderick reunion held at Crystal Springs Saturday. Mrs. M. E. Owen, Mr. and Mrs. John Owen and sons Earl and Dick, Mrs. Beverly Grill and daughter Sheri Lynn and Miss Margie Bolton attended a Bolton reunion held at Paris, Idaho Saturday. Miss Bolton remained at Paris where she will visit with her Mrs. Edna Bolton for a time. Guests at the home of Mr. and sister-in-la- Mrs. Wayne Secrist and family Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Baily of Kenwick, Wash., and Mrs. Ann Hawkins of OgLa-Ve- rn den. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Packer accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Packer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Asplund and daughters Annette and Ruthellen of Logan spent Sunday at Logan Canyon. Miss Margie Bolton and Mrs. Beverly Grill spent Wednesday at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Leona Standing has been spending several days visiting with her son and daughter-in-laMr. and Mrs. Jim Strickland and other relatives at Ogden. Garron Packer, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Packer, who has been spending the past several weeks here, has been chosen as one of twelve Eagle Scouts by the Lions, Rotarians and Kiwanis Clubs of Logan to represent "Boys State" at Salt Lake City, beginning July 5th. The Birthday Club met at the home of Mrs. Gladys Bishop at Garland Monday evening with Mrs. Bernadine Earl, Mrs. Nina Owen and Mrs. Rhoda Welling as The party was in compliment to Mrs. Edith Udy and Mrs. Mozell Hess who recently celebrated birthday an niversaries. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt and Miss Sandra Whitney attended funeral services for Heber Stokes at Brigham Wednesday. Lt. and Mrs. Robert Turner and four boys left Tuesday for their home at Arlington, Va., after having spent the past four weeks with Mrs., Turner's father J. L. Earl and other relatives. Lt and Mrs. Robert Turner and family and J. L. Earl spent the weekend at Logan Canyon and Bear Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Farnsworth are leaving Friday, for a week's vacation trip to Southern Utah. Sunday at Fairmont Park in Salt Lake City the family of Thomas Abel enjoyed their annual reunion. A treasure hunt was planned for the children La-M- ar picnicing the day. Leaves For Fort Lewis Steryl Miller who has been stationed at Camp Carson, Colo., was at home several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Miller before leaving' for Fort Lewis, Wash., which is his present camp. Will Go Overseas Gary Cutler who has been with the Air Force at Cheyenne, Wyo., left Monday for Long Island, N. Y. where he awaits overseas assignment to a Continental European Air Base. Gary spent a furlough at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. IaMar Cutler. The family of Soren Thompson met Sunday at the home of Junius Thompson for their family reunion.
