Show King of San Francisco were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Udy. They also visited with other relatives in the valley. Mrs. Alten Davis and two children of Berkeley, Cal., left Sunday for their home after a visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Davis and daughters of Brigham were visiting Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Davis. Mr. and Mrs. John Ward and daughter, Edna Mae Thompson were visiting with relatives in Pocatello Saturday. Mrs. Afton Green and Mrs Carrie White of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Martha Peterson of Riverton were guests Sunday of the E. W. Wards and J. O. Had- fields. Babies Receive Names Two babies were named at Sacrament meeting, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Capener and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Christensen, grandparents from Tremonton and other members of their family were present. Recovering From Burns Mrs. Mary Barnard Mann is recuperating at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs. Horace Barnard, after burning her legs badly in an accident. Norr is in the Valley Hospital recovering after the removal of an ornery appendix which ruptured and caused him a serious illness.. Students Enter National Meet Dan Shaffer, son of Mr. and Kenneth Shaffer of East Garland and Gary Eberhard, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Eberhard of Bothwell are busy this week crating and shipping their prize winning projects for the Ford Motor Company's Industrial Arts National contest being held in Dearborn, Mich. The boys won the right to enter this contest by winning places in the recent state meet. Dan s entry was a beautifully finished lamp table inlaid with over 1300 pieces of native hardwoods and Gary entered a spiral carved table lamp. The work of the local students will be entered in competition with other projects in woodwork, leather, metal, cermechanical amics, drawing, from all over the United States. First place winners will be awarded valuable scholarships and all expense trips to Chicago next October and their entries Hunsaker and Lynn, Cokeville, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Roy Larson and family, Bancroft, Ida., Mr. and Mrs. Lee Linder, Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Verdon Thompson, Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Larson, Elwood, and Mary Larson,, Tremonton, were among those present.
