Journeying out to Little Mountain for a family outing were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loveland and children, Buhl, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Duett Loveland and Gary, Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. John Becker, Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Ransom and Mr. and Mrs. James Ransom, Tremonton, Mrs. Tom Ault and Mrs. Darrel Loveland and Judy, also of City. The sudden Brigham change in weather sent them into the Loveland home in Brigham to finish their picnic. Another group who had to leave the chilly great outdoors for the warmth of home were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor and chldren, Mr. Frank Taylor. Mrs. Leland McBride and Dell, all of Ogden, Mr; and Mrs. Odell Christensen and family, Bear River City, Minnie Potter and Randolyn Harris, Tremonton. They spent the remainder of the day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Norr. Mrs. Lucila Lawson and daughter, Elaine, Roosevelt, Utah, called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marble, Friday. Mrs. Lawson and Mrs. Marole were former school mates. Mrs. A. C. Nelson, Thatcher, also visited at the Marble home that day. A Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Loveland and son of Roy visited over the weekend at the heme of Mrs. Edna Marble and Mr. and Mrs. Ursel Knudson. Mrs. Marie Fowles and son Michael, and Carolin Schriber, Ogden, visited Friudy with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Burbank. Driving to Amnlga, Sunday afternoon, to visit with their families were Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Rindlisbacher and daughter?. Visitors from Spanish Fork at the home of Edith and Jim Holdaway, Friday, were Mr. and Mrs. Will Frost, Louise and Billy. , Easter Sunday brought a house full of visitors to the home of Chris and Eunice Jensen. From Salt Lake City came Mr. and Mrs. Walt Sudbury and Mr. and Mrs. Art Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Lael Campbell and family of West Jordan, Mrs. Margaret Couch and grand daughter, Jane, of Garland, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jensen and children and Delbert Jensen of Ogden. Mrs. Axel Hassel has gone to California for a week of visit- ing with friends and relatives. Dave Oldroyd, Provo, and Miss Joyce Fryer, Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors at the home of Clarence and Jennie Fryer. Mrs. Winford Barrus has been spending a good deal of time at the Logan hospital this past week with her mother, Mrs. Hannah Hodges, Lewiston, who has been seriously ill. SUNDAY SCHOOL Easter Services were conducted Sunday under the direction School of the Junior Sunday with Myrtle Anderson and Flor- ence Gardner in charge. The following program was presented: piano solo; Richard Troseth; Easter story, Melba Checketts; song, Janice Holmgren, Bonnie Rae Bigler, Vita Burt; address, Doyle Archibald; P.T.A. Sets Monday Meeting P. T. A. Officers announce their meeting will be held Monday, April 18, at 8:00 p.m. Election of officers for the coming year will be held. They would also like to give a well earned vote of thanks to Horace Gardner, Principal Jay Stokes and Sylvan Rindlisbacher for the days work they put in on general repair of school ground equipment and putting the net up on the tennis court. Awards Given Sunday night at Sacrament meeting Mia Maids and their leader, Mrs. Marvin Ashby, presented their rose tying ceremony. Special Aaronic Priesthood awards were given to priests Dale Blackham, Neil Lish, D. R. Norr and Dennis Holdaway. Dennis' father, Dave Holdaway accepted the pin in the absence of his son who is in the U.S. Air Force. Teachers Ralph Gardner, Melvin Barrus and Doyle Holdaway were given special awards as were deacons Gary Norr and Richard Holdaway. Mothers of the boys pinned them after the awards were given. Birthdays came in threes at the home of Rupert and Virginia Blackham this week. Sunday a turkey dinner was prepared by Mrs. Dean Capener and Mrs. Blackham at the Blackham home for Mrs. Connie Dewey, Dorothy Capener and Dale Blackham. Dean and Pamela Capener, Garland, and Mrs. Kent Blackham and Rickie, Logan, were the other guests. Attending funeral services in Logan, Thursday for Oliver L. Peterson, long time resident of Petersboro, were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Perry, Pearl Perry,, Margaret Perry, Ellis Perry, Bear River City, and Alton Perry, Ogden. The people of Bear River City are very grateful to Mary for this beautiful painting and wish to thank her publicly for it. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Johnsen spent the last weekend in Salt Lake City. Saturday they attended a social where parents, wives, sweethearts and friends of missionaries serving in the L.D.S. Danish mission met. They also attended the Sunday School conference meeting Sunday ev. ning. Monday evening they met with the California Missionaries in a reunion at the Doll House. Mrs. Johnsen was a missionary to California some time ago. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Huggins s and Mr. and Mrs. Farrell attended a surprise party in honor of Claire Huggins held in Brigham City, Saturday night. Mrs. Emma Paice spent several days of last week in the Valley Hospital. She is now at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Winnie Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Henderson and daughter Gloria and Miss Sue Simmons of Logan spent the Easter holiday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin John-seHug-gin- n. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Loveland and children of Buhl, Ida., were weekend visitors of Mrs. Loveland's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Waddoups. Miss Loraine Holmgren of Salt Lake City visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben son of Brigham City attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Arbon (June Thorne) held in Springville, Wednesday evening. Robert's parents are Lucille N. and Ray Arbon. Missionary Sends Greetings Word has come from Elder Laron Johnsen that he is now in Herming, Denmark, and his new companion is Hal Rasmus-se- n of Mantua. Laron spent his first year in Copenhagen. He is well and enjoying his mission. As presiding Elder in Herming he is very busy but has time to think of home town people who have been so thoughtful of him and wishes he could write to them all. He, sends his very best wishes. Sons of Pioneers Hold Meeting of dinner A the Goldmeeting en Spike Camp, sons of Utah Pioneers was held Monday nrght at the Midland Hotel dining room with President Frank Munns in charge. A good crowd attended the dinner and enjoyed community singing directed by William Hurd. The constitution and of the .organization were read and approved and W. A.
