GEROLD IVERSEN bouquet of pink roses. She was attended by Mrs. Leah Conger, her sister, as matron of honor Newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Gerold B. Iverson were honored at a wedding reception following their marriage on October d 20th. The ceremony was at the Tremonton Third ward church by President Clifton Kerr. The young couple greeted friends in the hall of the church after the ceremony. The bride is the former Miss Shirley Stenquist, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Einor Stenquist. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Iversen of Bear River City. For her wedding, the new Mrs. Iversen chose a floor length gown of traditional white satin with overlaee bodice, and small collar of lace. She carried a per-forme- and Mrs. Sharon Conger, Miss Gaye Archibald and Miss Cheryl Evans as bridesmaids. They carried baskets filled with pink and white blossoms. Best man for the groom was Joe Dell Huggins. Mr. and Mrs. Norris Stenquist acted as reception assistants, and Robert Stenquist was master of ceremonies. Center of the decorative theme was a lovely three tiered wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom. Leaving on a honeymoon trip, the bride wore an ensemble of tangerine with black accessories. He was reared in Missouri, and moved to Nevada in 1905. He married Dora Wood there July 2, 1906. They lived in Milford for six years, before coming to East Garland in 1918. They have lived there since that time. He was a member of the L.D. S. Church. He had invented many devices and held patents on fifteen various safety devices for railroad and farm implements. Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters, Kenneth Shaffer, Mrs. Sherman (Lenna) Oyler, Jasper and Joan Shaffer, all of East Garland; Mrs. Nephi (Vera) Westergaard, Garland; Mrs. Leo (Iva) Godfrey, Clarkston; Mrs. Grant (Effie) Wilde and Mrs. Merlin (Carmen) Gleed, Salt Lake City; Ned Shaffer, Tooele; Vern, Gannett, Ida.; and Don. Boise- also 45 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters, Tom Shaffer and Mrs. Joda .De- vine. After supper, the guests play ed some records, danced and enjoyed an hour of sociability together. Larkin Richard Shaffer, 73, of East Garland died Tuesday at the Valley hospital in Tremonton, shortly after suffering a heart attack at the family h, N O T I CE d" and Van Johnson the Sunset". LeRoy Manning offered the benediction. Graveside services were also held at the Provo City Cemetery, where the body was taken for burial. Evan Hansen was speaker at that service. Clark B. Their new baby boy was born Oct. 30 He is the second boy, and there are four girls. OYLER Earl and Jennie Cox Oyler of Tremonton have a new baby girl, born Oct. 29. They now have two of each kind. ROBETERNO Manuel Robeterno and Jennie Martinez Robeterno of Bear River City have a new baby boy, born Nov. 2. He is the sixth child for the family. Half dozens are the majority this week. THORPE Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thorpe of Samaria, Ida., announce the birth of a son to them. Mrs. Thorpe was the former Gloria Hall of Portage. This is their fifth child.
