Theobald, Fair Secretary-ManageTop talents of the grunt and groan industry also billed as famous television stars, are scheduled for the mat event Wednesday evening, Sept. 16. The main event with two out of three falls and a one hour time limit will find as its participants the famed Baron Mich, ele Leone pitted against the beautiful one from Hollywood, Georgeous George. who at the present Leone, time holds the Pacific Coast Heavyweight championship, will put his title on the block to the Gorgeous one. Leone, a true Baron from Italy, has broken all existing gate records on his tours throughout the United States and Europe. His reputation as what might be termed a "clean wrestler" is rather nil. for that matter so is his opponent's. r. In systematic culling each hen must be individually handled and examined. This can best be done by building crates with a sliding end and an opening on the top. The end of this crate can be placed against the runway on the outside of the build. ityf. Each hen is then easily caught and removed through the sliding door at the top. The best layers will usually molt late in the fall and make a quick job of it. The hen in heavy production will have large, full and warm wattles, comb, and ear lobs, these will dry up and become small and change color when she stops laying. The skin of the good layer is usually white while the poor layer is yellow. The high producing hen has a deep, long, broad body, while the cull has a more shallow body, round and tapering toward the tail. The good proudcer has a wide spread between the pubic and pelvis bones, while the cull has little spread between these bones. The good producer has a wide spread from the keel bone to the pubic bones while the poor producer has very little spread. The texture of the skin on the abdomen of the good producer is soft and pliable. It is coarse and heavy on the poor producer. The temperature of a hen is also worthy of consideration. The best layers are the first to come off the roost in the morn ing and the last to go on at night. It is through this selection of the higher producing birds that makes us successful poultry raisers for egg production.
