HOME FROM KOREA Elvis Johnson son of Mrs. Inez Johnson is one of the soldiers to be on U. S. soil after being in Korea for some eight months. His ship landed in San Francisco the middle of the week. Mrs. Clarice Hirschi accompanied by Inez Johnson, Cleo Forsberg and June Bowcutt to Logan Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hadfield went to Merdian, Idaho Wednesday to visit their son and family Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hadfield. From there they will all go to Northern Calif.; to visit Mr. and ' - Mrs. Jack Reval and sons. Mrs. Reval is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hadfield. They expect to be gone about a week. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Udy were in Logan and Brigham Wednesday. Sandra Silvester was taken to the Valley Hospital during the week. She is home now and recuperating nicely. Thursday afternoon Nina Burnett enterained fifteen neighbors and friends on the lawn of the T. J. Udy home. Games and social conversation were followed by a plastic ware demonstration . Light refreshments were served. Mrs. Streater Tingy is at the Dee Hospital in Ogden for medical care. Her friends wish her a speedy recovery. Pvt. La Mar Capener son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Capener is one of the soldiers who is close to the firing lines in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Udy, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Kennard and Mr. Mrs. Ron Hales and family attended the Kennard family reunion Saturday and Sunday in Box Elder Canyon. Streater Tingey attended the Tingey reunion at the Rees Pioneer Park in Brigham Saturday. He has been in charge of the reunion activities this year. UDY FAMILY HONORS BIRTHDAY The Ed Udy family met at the I & km home of Inez Johnson, Saturday night to honor the birthday anniversaries of Mrs. Johnson and Verl Udy. Oleen Udy, who has been in Detroit, Mich.; studying with the Burroughs Mfg.; Co. WoAmOuU for the last thirteen weeks and wife, Delia and son Fred were here from their home in Salt Lake City for the week end and for the reunion. Bishop Leland Capener and son Richard were in Montana the latter part of the week. Officers Entertained Officers of the M.I.A. entertained for out going officers and teachers Monday night, at the Garbanati home. Games were played and refreshments served to twenty guests. Mrs. Ada Pratt and girls Marie and Jeanne, and Mrs. Edith Yost enjoyed a swim and picinic at Downata Springs Saturday in company with Mrs. Lola Eliasan and DeAnn and Mrs. Effie Showell and son Sid of Stone, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hickman and boys of Reedsport, Oregon are visiting with Mrs. Marian Arbon and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hickman. CUP AND SAUCER CLUB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Naomi Garbanati was hostess to eight members of the Cup and Saucer Club and their husbands at a Lawn party. Mrs. Verona Arbon was Mrs. Avinall Derrington was the honored guest of the evening, it being her birthday. She was presented with a lovely apron. Games were played with prizes going to Marie Birky, Darlene Hurd, Harvy Talbot and Joe Hurd. Mr. and Mrs. Dayle J. Cutler were special guests. A delicious luncheon was served. Mrs. Emma Eliason of Brigham City is visiting with her daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Nelson Jr. Mrs. Floe Cutler, Mrs. Christine Peterson and Rosann Cut-tiwere in Logan Monday. Joyce Hurd of Twin Falls spent the past week visiting with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Horton Hurd. Rosann Cutler, Phullis Smith, Phyllis Larkin, Pat Eliasan, Nellie Christine Eagle and Peterson, members and leader of the Junior Gleaner Class enjoyed the stake party at Garland Park, Tuesday evening of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cobia en joyed salmon fishing at Riggins, Idaho over the week end. Mrs. Delia Higley and girls Vickie Lynn and Judy of Car-IoNevada are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bealy Cutler and other relatives. Mrs. Barlow is the former Diane Rhodes. Mrs. Rhodes will leave soon to be with her daughter when she is home from the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Adams spent Friday in Salt Lake City. Grant Korth, Dallas Pierson and Leon Sorenson left Monday morning for a three day fishing trip at White Pine in Logan Canyon. Larry and Rex Peterson and Gordon Winter left Tuesday morning on a fishing trip in the Bear Lake area. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Grover and daughter Joan were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sparks in Clarkston. Mrs. Leonard Laub of San Diego, California is spending her vacation as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Shaffer. Mrs. Leo Godfrey and children of Clarkston spent Tuesday at the L. R. Shaffer home.
