Show June Thursday. 25. 1953 THE LEADER. Miss Fayne Hess is visiting with her friend Miss Marilyn Adams at Seattle, Washington. While there she will also visit at Canada. Mrs E. C. Mason spent the forepart of the week at Ogden with her daughter Mrs. Reta Sharkey. On Monday she visited with Mrs. Jesse Lamb of Plymouth ,at the Dee Hospital. ATTEND FAMILY Fielding Florence Man Bui ns Family Meet The family of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Burns held their Fathers Day party at the Brigham Park Sunday. Members of the family attending were Mr. and Mrs. Arch Hall of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Burns, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell Burns and families of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Burns and family and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Thomas of Garland. The afternoon was spent in a picinic lunch, followed by baseball and PARTY Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Burns attended a house warming and family party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walker at Salt Lake City Saturday evening. A hot supper was served. During the evening a Frank J. Walker reunion was organized, after various which games and a social follow- other games. Guests at the F. W. Mrs. Richard Calderwood of Tremonton attended a banquet held at Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City Wednesday evening in compliment to Dr. W. R. Calderwood of Salt Lake City. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Leonard Standing on Fathers Day were Mr. and Mrs. James Strickland and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Bow-cuand family, France Stand ing, Mr. and Mrs.Beryl Standing and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Keyes and family all of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Miller and famliy of Tremonton. The Social Development Club met at the home of Mrs. Thersa Coombs Thursday afternoon for their closing meeting of the season. Installation of officers for the coming year took place and corsages were presented to Mrs. Ina Udy, Mrs. Mollie Hodges, Mrs. Voylet Grover, Mrs. Thresa Coombs and Mrs. Lettie Leavett by the retiring officers. Mrs. E. C. Mason, Mrs. J. D. Mrs. Dan Garn and Munson, Mrs. Ralph Grover presented a "Barbershop Quartet" novelty number. Luncheon was served by the hostess assisted by her daughter, Mrs Virginia Udy and Mrs. Vanita Coombs. Mrs. Louise Priest of Ogden was a special guest. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lott Sunday were Mr, and Mrs. Grant Hess and family of Ogden. d tt ed. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. The Overmyers and Mrs. Sharkey were over night guests at the Mason home Sunday. at the week-enSpending the Ralph Grover home were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Grover of Kaysville and Mr. and Mrs. Verl Grover of Ogden and their families. The Ladies of the Birthday Club met at the Howard Cafe at Brigham City, Tuesday afternoon to honor Mrs. Edith Udy who was celebrating her birthday anniversary. A lovely dinner was enjoyed. Mrs. Wynn Hansen spent the forepart of the week at Salt Lake City. Sunday guests at the home' of Mr. and Mrs. Ellwood Hess were Mrs. Flora Wheeler of Mata, California, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hess and family, Lt. and Mrs. Joseph Hess of Ogden, Mrs. Alice Petersen of Bear River City, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis d Mac Farland and daughter of Arimo, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hess and family of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Hess were in Brigham on business Monday. Mrs. Afton Adams and daughter, Elaine, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Steed and family and Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Adams attended funeral services for the small son of Richard nd Lois Davis at Emmett, Idaho last week. The Steed family and Elaine have remained to spend a few days at the Davis home they will spend sometime with Mr. Steeds mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Steed at Portland, Oregon. Miss Faye Coombs of Ogden spent Friday and Saturday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Coombs and family. On Sunday they were all dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Harris at Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bourne h and Mr. and Mrs. Leo enjoyed a lovely dinner at Maddock Ranch House at Brigham Sunday. Members of the Micah Gam family held their Annual Re union at Willow Park in Logan Sunday. Those from our com munity attending were the Dan Garns, Vel Gams, Wayne Gams, Wesley Garns and Mrs. Carol Hess and family. Mrs. M. A. Garn is visiting with her daughter Mrs. Walter Rothaard at Salt Lakke City John and Ray Coombs were in Logan on business Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Cannon have arrived from Lovinta California to spend two weeks with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cannon. The Fielding Ward M.I.A. wishes to thank everyone who participated and helped in anyway to make their Annual "Fun after-whic- h Day" which was held Saturday such a tremendous success. The parade in the morning was a gay affair and consisted of floats sponsored by tthe M.I.A. The Future Progress, Guild, Sunday School, girls of the Softball Team, Primary association, and the Boy Scouts. Leo Farns worth dressed as a "dude" showed off his prize mink in a very effective manner. Plymouth participated by having bicycle riders, a flag bearer with the U. S. flag, two other bearers with Ply mouth flags, and a clown which added to the gaiety. Miss Shirley Cannon was chosen as "Miss Fielding" and was crowned by Bishop Rozel Zundel. Her attendants wer Miss Gayle Cannon and Miss JaNae Zundel. Lunch and refreshments were available all during the day. CLASS HAS SWIMMING PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baird entertained their Sunday School Class at a swimming party at Lagona Friday evening, after which they went to Willow Park and played games and had re freshments, Mr. and Mrs. Uel Garn and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Garn accompained the group. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parry and children of Malad and Mrs. Dan Kent and son of Ogden spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Holt were visiting their daughters, Mrs. Viola Stokes and Mrs. La Ree Whitney and family at Ogden. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. W.
