Gam Wednesday evening, November' 26th. Bishop Duane Archibald of Garland performed the ceremony.. The bride was lovely in a white satin gown of floor length. Her bridal veil was of sheer net- - accented with tiny pearls. She carried a lovely Corsage of white carnations centered with an orchid. She chose for her bridesmaids, Miss Judy Hansen of Garland, Miss Beverly Owen and Miss Joyce Udy. The girls corsages were of roses. Flower girls were little Vicki Hess of Ogden and Linda Petersen.. Jerry Petersen of Garland acted as best man. Others attending the ceremony besides those already mentioned were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nye, parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Garn and family of Seattle, Washington, Mr, and Mrs. Vern Hess and family of Ogden, Mrs. Jerry Petersen and Mrs. Duane Archibald of Garland, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Burnett and family, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Petersen and family and Miss Doyle Garn. Immediately t following the ceremony a tasty luncheon was served at the Garn home. The same evening a reception was held at the Fielding Recreational hall to honor the newly weds. Miss Rowenl Zundal furnished the music for the evening. Val Leavitt favored with two solos, "I Love You Truly", and "Forever and Ever". He was accompanied by Mrs. Ellen Capener Mrs-Wesle- y of Riverside. Many relatives and friends were present to bring their good wishes to the young couple. They received many lovely gifts. Winners in the senior division, 15 years and over, were Jennie Sue Smith of Beaver .County with her presentation of "Preparing Eggs, for Freezing" and the team of Georgia Christensen and Jacklyn OIt son from Sanpete county with an "Angel Food Cake" demonstration. r In the junior calss, under 14 years of age, Kathryn Ann of Juab with a "Scrambled Egg Souffle on Toast"; Evelyn Peacock of Emery with an "Angel Food Cr'rs" and Suzanne Adams of F"i Juan county od Cake" were with an "Ansel all named winners. . Those chamns all received watches from the Utah Poultry and Farmers Cooperative. Champions were crowned In 17 counties, with fine avards pressure pans or Irons going to all the county victors, according to C. K. Ferre, director of the youth program for Utah Poultry. She reports having; had a very pleasant trio having met a very congenial family who helped her a great deal on the trip over. The trip across the .continent was rather eventful, with the heavy swonstorm causing a transfer from the train to a bus, then back again to the train to complete the journey.
