Her hus band, Dick came for a short while and then returned home, Mr. .and Mrs. Jay Stokes are at home after honey - mooning through California and Oregon. Mrs. Ellen Capener was a guest at the home of Mrs. Ella Anderson on Supday. Camylla Jones has been spending the week with Paula Vee Stokes. After leaving Tremonton in early April, Mr. and Mrs. Emil F?gli of the South African General Mission, traveled east, visiting some of his relatives in Illinois, and friends in Durham, North Carolina, where Mr. Eggli conducted a week of religious meetings. Just before they left for New York, they took a quick trip to Florida to bid farewell to Mrs. Eggli's sister and her family. Their month in New York was filled with buying and packing equipment and clothing for their lonj missionary journey. During the vacation months, it is very difficult to obtain a booking on a Trans - Atlantic steamer, but Mr. and Mrs. Eggli were fortunate in being able to obtain a booking for June 12 on the "Vulcania." They spent an enjoyable and restful week on the water. Mr .Eggli was given permission to hold the only Protestant service on the boat Sunday morning, which was well attended, with much interest being shown. They also had daily Bible store hour for the children on board ship, which proved to be popular. Oddly enough, they arrived in Lisbon on Mrs. Eggli's birthday. They have been settled in their new home in Lisbon since June 21, and are enjoying Portuguese hospitality very much, as they are living with a private family. They have found Lisbon to be a delightful city, having many statues in central plazas, with lovely tree lined avenues and numerous parks. Since their main task is to learn to read, write, and speak the Portuguese language, they have been spending most of their time studying, with a private lesson five days a week from a Portuguese lady. At the end of their stay in Portugal, they will sail directly to Angola, Portuguese West Africa, to assume their missionary task among the African peoples of Central Angola. Mr. and Mrs. Eggli's Lisbon address is: Av. Duque D'Avila Lisbon, Portugal. They would enjoy receiving letters from their friends in the Valley, and will reply to all personal letters that they receive. Thursday, July 24, 1952 CARD OF THANKS Mrs. W. W.
