Show The LEADER r.lmt Badge Contest To En d May 15 Tremonton Jaycees wish to re mind Scoutmasters and Scouts in the Bear River Stakes that the merit badge contest for sec and class Scouts will end in three weeks, May 15. -Max Adams, project chairman believes that some Scouts will earn the maximum number, of merit badges that is available to a second class Scout. The con- test Scout has his pick of over a hundred merit badges, and can earn any five of them, plus the first aid merit badge, if he has pased his first class requirements for first aid, said Mr, Adams, thus giving the second class merit badges. To settle a question that has arisen since the opening of the contest, the Jaycee contest rules say that any boy who becomes a first class during the contest will' only be allowed to use the merit badges he received as a second class Scout as entries in the contest. Chairman Adams urges all troops to participate in this program, to help some young man receive some Scout equipment free of charge, and at the same time gather more knowledge, and advance in rank.
