Show The LEADER Thursday, March 13, 1952 Obituaries Funeral Services For Laura Petty Set For Saturday Mrs. Laura Helen France Petty, of Fielding died at the family home Tuesday evening after an illness of six weeks. Mrs. Petty was born February 53, in Farmington, a daugh ter of Amasa Lyman and Helen Smith France. When she was a baby, the family moved to Alberta, Canada,' where she received her early education. They re turned to Utah when she was fifteen years of age. She married Gordon Petty in Provo, February 28, 1927, and three years later, the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They, lived in Farming-to- n until 1940 when they moved to Fielding .which has been their home since then. An active member, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, Mrs. Petty served as secretary and teacher in the 7, 4899 . Farmington Primary and as secretary and teacher in the Fielding Primary. Surviving are her husband and two sons, Sgt- - Vera Petty, Camp Irwin, California, and Merrill R. Petty Fielding., The only daughter in the family died in 1934. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ireta Woolf, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Edna Nichols of Farmington. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in the Fielding Ward chapel by Bishop Elmer Richards. Friends may call Frjday from 7 to 9 p.m, at Rogers Mortuary and Saturday from 9 am. until time of services at the family home in west Fielding. Burial will be in the Farming-to- n Cemetery.
