Fighting in the 175 pound class, Peterson easily handled the clever Clary, who in 1950 won the senior 175 pound A. A. U. title in both Utah and Idaho. Peterson's fine physical condition and rugged punching proved too much for Ogden's pride and joy, who only a few weeks ago suffered a kayo at the hands of Bear River Valley's first Golden Gloves champion. Peterson dropped Clary In the third stanza of a polio benefit card with a series of ripping left hooks. Coached and trained by John Gable, Peterson's style has been difficult for opposing fighters to handle. With only five official bouts under his belt, three of which he won by knockouts, the local campion has confused them all thus far, with his ability to switch from left to righthanded stance with telling accuracy, from either angle, the naturally left handed Peterson can deliver a kayo punch, as his record and quality of opponents will verify. Future Plana In early March, Ronald, accompanied by Coach John Gable, will board the train for Chicago, where he will enter the 3 day tournament against the best amatures in the U. S.
