Ward re- ceived a telegram Wednesday announcing the safe arrival of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs Edna May Odell Thompson Ward. There are three children to welcome her home coming Mr. Thompson is with the U. S government service in Guam and his family is with him They have been gone one year and expect to be there anoth er year at least. Mrs. Mary Ann Ward return ed from a three week's visit Pocatello with her daughter Mrs. Vida Howells. Mrs. How-el- ls and three children, Ruth, George and Jimmie brought her home. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sears of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Phillips of Layton spent Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bourne. They were joined on Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Earl of Ogden. Paul Forsberg spent the week end at home with his parents Mr. and Mrs. George Forsberg. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hadfield accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Doug Roche and baby attended the stock show in Ogden Tuesday. The work and business meeting of the Relief Society was turned into a party honoring the presidency, Gwen Ward and Grace Hales. A lovely flower was presented to them. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Udy took Mrs. Inez Johnson and Clarice Hirschi to Ogden Wednesday to visit their daughter and sister, j Karen, who is in the polio ward j of the Dee Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hadfield Accompanied by Mrs. Doris Roche and baby, Mina Ward, Vesta Davis, Edna Ward and Myrle Udy "were in Logan Wednesday. The ladies attended one session of the temple. Primary preparation meeting was held at the home of Nina Burnett Thursday evening. A social hour was enjoyed after the meeting. Green of Tremonton was the speaker in Church Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Thorn of Perry visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Udy Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Davis and baby of Provo, accompanied by Nancy Bohrer of Arlington Va. who is attending the BYU, spent Saturday night and Sunday with the Jesse Davis family. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Sorensen of Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with Mrs. Soren-sen- 's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Capener. Mr. and Mrs. 'Gordon Smith and new baby son have moved back to Fielding after spending a couple of weeks with Mrs. Color Cartoon Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Woodward visited with relatives in.
