The theme was "I Wonder Why..." More than 70 students participated this year and the quality of the art was outstanding. With so many creative entries, it was difficult to decide on just a few winners. This year the judges selected two for each division. Emergency Preparedness Al Cooper Utah's own Preparedness Beaver Forensics Mr. by Paula Jo Porter On November , the Beaver High School Forensics team traveled to Midvale to the Novice and Junior Varsity ts Forensics tournament at Hillcrest High School. A few varsity went to judge at the tournament as well. Individual events were offered for competition at this tournament, and there were contestants from all over the state. Some of the Beavers did particularly well. Rachel Kanell received first in novice Oratory, Annie Macdonald earned third place in novice Oratory, and Wade Melling received fourth place in novice Impromptu. This fancy steer was a Maine Anjou, Simmental crossbred, and weighted 1285 lbs. Dr. Rany Delecore of Cedar City bought this fancy steer fop $3,600. Emily also had the Grand Champion steer last year and Dr. Delcore bought it also. Emily really wants to thank Dr. Delcore for all of his wonderful support because this money will be spent on her college education. Emily is President of the Beaver High and Church and is School FFA this year. She is also active in roll student. an honor Emily is the daughter of Gilbert "Gib" & Denise Yardiey. Beaver Valley Hospice will be holding the Bereavement Support Group on November 16, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in the Beaver Valley Hospital Boardroom. This month's topic will be getting through the Holidays when you have lost a loved one. The Bereavement Support Group is a service that is provided by Beaver Valley Hospice at no charge and it is open to the public.
