Teams with 5 members from area companies, organizations and neighborhoods raise money to support the fight against cancer. Members of each team stay on the track for the entire event. Others not on the track will par- 'JX Canyon Breeze Ladies Host Annual Tournament On Saturday, September 17, the Canyon Breeze Ladies hosted their annual tournament at the Canyon Breeze Goif Course. The theme this year was "A Salute Triple Deuce." The net winners of Flight A were 1st place: Marilee Eyre, 2nd place: Tammie Miller and Betty Porter, 4th place: Stacey Yardley, and 5th place: Annette Wadsworth. The gross winners in Flight B were 1 st place: Debbie Nichols, 2nd place: Marge Jenkins, 3rd place: Melonie Myers, 4th place: Marianne Taylor, and 5th place: Sharon Wadsworth. The net winners in Flight B were 1st place: Karen Alger, 2nd place: Lelghann Wheeler, 3rd place: Claudette Davis, 4th place: Rose Hunt, and 5th place: Tamara Edmonds. The ladies enjoyed a wonderful day of golf with beautiful fall weather, Prizes were awarded during the luncheon to all of the ladies, with s'everai ladies receiving multiple awards. All ladies who shot a score that contained a two such as a 92 or any lady who shot a two on any hole was awarded a sleeve of three golf bails with two's on them, representing a triple deuce. Robert Baker On Thursday, September 22, 2005, the Beaver Cross Country team went to Enterprise for a three mile run. The course was one of the best our team has run thus far. From the school, we were bussed up the Enterprise canyon road. We had to cross two cattle guards, but the course was mostly downhill. All our runners cut down on their times. Our girls' times were Amanda-26:5- father's last days more comfortable. We are so grateful for all you have done. Esther was born in Beaver, Utah on June 22, 1916, the daughter of Stephen F. and Lelia F. Barton. Esther was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, member of the Nevada Lariats 50's and 60's, former crossing guard for the City of Las Vegas, PTA president at J.D. Smith School, and special grandparent aide, needs, at Miller Elementary School for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Weiser Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y A Graveside Saints. Service and viewing was held in Tabiona, Utah on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 12:30 PM. at Tabiona Interment Thomason Funeral Cemetey. Home in charge of arrangements. Elva on was born in 1924 6, September to Utah John and Duchesne, Sylvia (Jones) Abbott. She graduated from high school in Duchesne, Utah and later attended BYU and received a teaching certificate. Elva married Gail D. Van Tasseil on December 30, 1942 at the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in Duchesne, Hanna and Tabiona. She also lived in Phoenix, AZ; Milford, UT; and for the past 25 'years in Weiser, ID. Elva was a teacher, wife and homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening and spoiling her grandchildren. Her special interests included family history, reading and sewing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter She served in Day Saints. many organizations and was always found serving others. Elva is survived by her husband, Gail Van Tasseil of Weiser; her brothers, Arnold Abbott of Austin, TX., Ward & IFerh Abbott of Washington,: UT.
