When given choices, children will hesitate and argue and plead. They will demand more than they need. They will need that which they did not choose. When they choose wisely and are rewarded, we will celebrate. When they choose poorly and suffer consequences, we will feel their pain. children Yes, indeed, giving choices is not much fun for parents. However, like many other responsibilities of parenthood, like taking care of a child with stomach flu or hosting a sleepover, teaching children to make wise choices is just part of doing business. The six of us simply sat, wondering what would be ordered for us. ' Having said this, I will now seemingly contradict myself and say that children should be given as many choices as possible.
