This award is presented by the Dairy Farmers of Utah and the Utah High School Activities Association. This award is presented to only eight high school seniors throughout the State of Utah. Each of the state's four classifications receives two awards (one boy and one girl). Brett is recognized as the Top Male Student-Athlet- e who has in demonstrated excellence acinterscholastic academics, tivities and community service. Brett is currently serving as President. Studentbody Academically he has a G.P.A. of 3.985 for grades He has participated in Football, Basketball, and Track where he has received Academic Football player. Brett is an Eagle Scout, and has attended the Utah National Guard Freedom Academy and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation Leadership Seminar. The also attended the commencement excercises for her. Merrill and Helen Lee have been visiting in Holland with their son, Jeff and his family for the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Doug McMullen of Provo visited with Dougs' mother, Ruby McMullen recently. Mrs. Nelda Black has returned home after having major surgery again in the Dixie Medical Center. She is now recuperating at her home. Elder John Kerksiek, son of John and Peggy Kerksiek returned home after a successful L.D.S. mission to Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Pickard of North Carolina are visiting their Vie and Harley parents, Fotheringham. Their son, Kevin and family joined them for the week-en- d (from Phoenix, Arizona). Also their son Jeff and his wife and brother Mike were also here from Provo. The Pickards were one time residents of Beaver. Their father and mother, Glen and Mildred Pickard ran the old Beaver Hotel west of the Library some years ago. Mission Return ELDER GEOFF MURDOCK Mission Call LA i Donald Arthur Harris, age 79, died May 7, 1991 at his home in Beaver. Born December 24, 1911 in St. George, Utah to Louis Arthur Harris and Mary Anne Hunter Harris. Survived by his wife Leah Harris of Johnson Margaret Beaver. Two daughters, Leland and (Elaine) Smith of Beaver and Glade (Nordine) Merkley of Arcadia, CA. and son, Donald DeLoy and Carla Harris of Cedar City, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 12 4 sisters, Beverly Rehnstrom, Lillian Skaggs, Mary Lou Hufstedler and Alice Schmidt. One sister, Maxine Frazer, preceded him in death. Viewing will be held Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Olpin Mortuary and on Friday from 11:30 to 12:30 at the L.D.S. 3rd Ward. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 10, 1991 at 1:00 p.m. in the 3rd Ward. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery in Beaver.
