With a horde of 50 It was blue-suite- , (count-em- I d dare you!) wrestlers, it was quite a task to keep track of them. With eight matches going at the same time, you could often see as many as 10 Beavers wrestling at the same time. In fact, there were so many of them that they often ended up wrestling each other. Beaver's Little League coaches and parents deserve a pat on the back for getting these kids all fired up! And those Beavers weren't just out there playing around. They came to win and win they did, bringing home 42 places in the top four ranks including 12 gold, 12 silver, and 12 bronze medals. In other words, 42 out of the 50 wrestlers placed in the first, second, third or fourth places. Father and Son Wrestling and Banquet Tonight by Sharon Jones Tonight, Thursday, March 7th, at 7 p.m. will see the Varsity Wrestlers put their Dads on the spot again. At the traditional Father-SoWrestling Banquet, Dads don their wrestling togs (quite the assortment of outfits, too!) and try to see if they can still handle (manhandle?) their sons. The action can get pretty wild with the s whole team coming to a rescue or tackling the coach for a match on the side. After the match, which is usually a toss-u- p as to who is ahead, the wrestlers are treated to a banquet, where some special awards are presented. The only father-soteam we could definitely find out would wrestle as of press time was Kirk Jones who will try to outdo both Rod and Andy, but not at the same time. n team-mate'- OPEN Vlri- - "Ufa Coaches' I n Gallery Beaver Tracks We Serve Pizza French Pizzas Fries Hamburgers Snelgrove Ice Cream Drinks Sundaes Cones Shakes Malts We will Host Your Birthday Parties Any Age by SHANE BUTTON Last Friday, March 1st, the Boys Basketball team hosted Valley for the last game of the season.
