By, Michael Houston Belknap 6th Grade My name is Adriana Cortez and I would like to tell you about my grandmother Sebastiana. My grandmother's name is Sebastiana Hernandez. She was born on January 20, 1924. She is 59 years old. She was born in Cerro Gordo Estado De Mexico. The games they used to play when she was little were jump rope. Her favorite animals are pigs.', She likes ' 'pigs 'because "she ' has" "pigs and she likes" to care" for the pigs. When she was little there were no schools. Her mother's and father's names are Dominga Hernandez and Emilio Alba. Her brother's and sisters are Ramon, Candelaria, Petra, Pancho. She has three sons and eight daughters and there names are Clemente Jose, Abraham who is my father, Eugenia, Veronica, Felix, Chole, Sevia, Rosario, Lola and Ermelinda. My grandmother's work is in the home. The special feelings of my grandmother are; when we were in Mexico and my dad was here in Beaver she helped us in many ways. They drew a 15 x 25 ft. chalk mural for the Junior Prom. They painted the scenery for South Pacific. Approximately 75 were silk screened with the South Pacific 83 logo. Grandmother Gale My name is Shirleen Bradshaw and I would like to tell you about my Grandmother Marie Gale. My grandmother was born in Beaver, Utah at the Murdock Academy. She is the third child of seven children. Her parents are Archie LeRoy Fotheringham and Anna Elizebeth Kesler. In her younger years she attended Beaver schools. During her junior year she painted with chalk the scenery for the junior prom which covered the back wall of the gymnasium. Her most frightening experience was when she fell through a hole in a bridge over the Beaver River by the mouth of the canyon. She was five years old and the only thing that held her was her elbows. She is a mother of six children, five boys and one girl which is my mother, Sharon Bradshaw, They lived in Beaver until 1950, then moved to the state of Washington for two years. They then moved back to Utah where she has lived ever since. , My grandmother has been a very active member of the LDS Church all her life. She has done dress making for others and especially for her family most of her life. She has taught and designed costumes for many road shows. She was born on February 4, 1917 in Bloomington, Idaho. She was baptized on her eighth birthday after her dad chopped a hole in the ice. When she was twelve years old she got her drivers license for fifty cents. Her best friend was Lark Allred. She had three sisters named Maxine, Rhea and LaVoyle. They played kick the can, run sheepie run, basketball and volleyball. Her hobbies were reading, sewing and horse back riding. She got her horse for fifteen dollars from these people that were taking some horses to race in California and the mother horse broke her leg. They named the colt Pansey and my dad remembers her when he was a little boy. She had to drive a team of horses when they were haying. She had to milk and drive the cows to pasture.
