A good Mrs. Vera Behunin has had as her guests Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Behunin and four children from Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Behunin and four children from Santa Clara, Utah, and Roe and Lorna Behunin of Cedar City. Warren and Barbara Smith of Provo recently visited his parents Gilbert and Vie Smith while Vie was recuperating from an illness. Durrell and Mary Paice of Carson City, Nevada and two friends visited last week with Durrell's grandmother Martha Paice and his Aunt Lucille Strong. Durrell is the son of Howard Paice and the two couples were enjoying a vacation in the parks. Our guests over the weekend were Donald and Joyce Cox Smith of Spanish Fork, and Elmo and Dorothy Robinson and family, Todd, Jill, and Joshua of Para-gona- Al and Nancy Yardley and children Jennifer and Casay of Eugene, Oregon have recently visited Al's family, Jack and Editha Yardley. Winnie Nelson of Cedar City took her sisters. Ruby McMullin, Annabell Hales and Elsie Hales, to Salt Lake treatments. for medical While there, they visited with Keith and Beverly Joseph. They came home Saturday. They have improved some, but Winnie will stay to assist until they can care for themselves. Jack and Editha Yardley, Edith Marshall of Miners-villClarence and Delia Rollins, Trudy Swindlehurst, Elmer and Marge Johnson, Bill and Hazel Yardley and .Kay Bowler were in Loa, Utah Saturday, June 26, 1982 to attend the funeral for Vern Taylor. The Taylors lived in Beaver for several years working for Wildlife Resources. Pratt presided over the sessions with Stake President Grant M. Esplin, Howard Bradshaw and Dan Joseph directing. The talks were especially interesting and informative. The Miner-svill- e choir, directed by Reva Williams and accompanied by Eleanor Marshall, was especially good. J.D. Osborn sang a solo, a quartet by Heber Gurr, Hal Hickman, Gordon Baker and Keith Ivory, accompanied by Carol Kesler sang a number in keeping with the conference. Anyone that didn't attend both meetings, certainly missed a real treat. Mrs. Ida Stewart of Nevada has recently visited with Waldo and Vie Yardley. Ted Nowers of Kearns, Utah, Wayne Patterson of St. George, Sherri Patterson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Patterson spent two weeks with Grandma Merlin helping her with the house work. Linda Carpenter of Spring-ville- , Utah and LuAnn Anderson of Provo were weekend guests of Beatrice Hurst. Linda is a relative of Bea's and was interested in the genealogy of the Hurst Family. They went through the Courthouse and attended the children's plays. They spent two days at Grand Canyon and Kanab but were back to spend Sunday night before going back home. LuAnn's father was a missionary companion of Howard Bradshaw's. and Bobbie James and Tom's sister Wanda and Glen and Billie Osborn of Milford were here Sunday to attend conference and enjoyed dinner at the home of Waldo and Vie Yardley. Billie and Bobbie are Vie's sisters. Mrs. Merlin Patterson has had as her visitors this past Menu Arrivals Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Laurie Ritterof Aztec, New Mexico are happy to announce the birth of a son. His name is Walter Wayne. Little "Walt" weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 ozs. He has black hair and a dimple in his chin. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ritter of New Mexico and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Draper of Beaver. Great grandmother is Margery Mackerell. the I Power Spray Carpet Cleaner I Mr. and Mrs. Gary Phelps (the former Laurie Williams) journeyed to Beaver over the weekend to visit the Messer Family, and to specifically attend the children's theatre Lund, Bill and Ella Firmage', Rex and Carol Carter, Merrill and Helen Lee and Clark and Carol Smith. What a lovely way to spend an evening. occasion on Saturday is a former Laurie evening. roommate of Jacki Messer, author and director of the performance play. Mr. and Mrs. Haun (Gill) Yu, and family visited over the weekend with Mrs. Hester Harris and Family. Gill will be remembered as the beloved Korean Nurse who worked at the Beaver Valley Hospital for a time several years ago. Beatrice Hurst received word of the death of Catherine Mathews, daughter of Ezekiel Cuningham and Elizabeth Smithson Mathews, June 23, 1982, at her home in Menlo Park, California. As she requested, she will be cremated and her ashes will be buried on the family plot in the Beaver Cemetery.
