Gil and Jane Becenti and children of Fillmore, Utah spent the weekend with their foster parents King and Donna Morris. Eugene and I were in Paragonah to visit with his daughter and family Elmo and Dorothy Robinson Saturday and to attend the Golden Wedding for Earl and Roka Thornton in the Paragonah Church. Natalie Wadsworth daughter of Vee and Sharon Wadsworth of Cedar City and Ronald Prince of New Harmony were married Friday, Aug. 13, 1981 in the L.D.S. Stake House in Cedar' City. A reception was held that evening. Attending the marriage and reception were Gilbert and Vie Smith, Warren and Barbara Smith of Provo, Utah, Abe and Bobbie Gillies and family Jennifer, Matthew and Sara of Salt Lake and Gil and Ruth Smith and son Justin of Las Vegas. Ronald Smith of Las Vegas visited Monday, August 17 with his parents Gilbert and Vie Smith. Randall and Allyson Cox k, 438-286- 9 were in Salt Lake Friday to get Allyson's sister Angie Brough who has spent one month in Los Altos, California with her sister and family Doug and Margo Hovik and a month with her parents Rulon and Arta Brough in Anchorage, Alaska where they are serving a mission for the L.D.S. Church. They will have completed their mission and return home in November. DuWayne and Ada Henrie of Phoenix, Arizona visited Monday afternoon with Lula h Tanner. They went to to visit relative there. Max and Alene Baker were in Spanish Fork last week to attend the funeral for Alene's brother Orrin Williams. Janet Root of St. George, Utah visited with her mother Laura Smith last week. Beaver Sunday Night Study Club met at the home of Laura Smith Sunday, Aug. 16, 1981 to conclude the book "Camilla" which they have been reading. Refreshment was served by the hostess assisted by her daughter Pan-guitc- Lauck who she was taking to the Manti Temple to be sealed in marriage from Nixa, Missouri. Nancy and Blake Smith, Roy and Mildred Yardley and Susan Moyes and daughter Melissa attended the Pagein ant "Chief Kanosh" Fillmore last week. Kay and Veloy Ashworth were in Hyrum, Utah last week to visit Chuck and Patty Ashworth and family. In Salt Lake they visited Butch and Beth Ashworth and family. Susie Dalton and daughter Sherrie of Minersville were in Salt Lake with them. Blake, Mary Jo and Cody Gillies have just returned from spending 4 days in Denver, Colorado with relatives Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bohn. Also one day was spent with Butch and Margi-an- n Joseph showing them various places of interest in Denver. They then drove to Colorado Springs where they stayed 4 more days with Mr. and Mrs. Chad Gillies, where he is employed at Fort Carson. They said it was a great vacation but it was also good to come home to Beaver. Visit Beaver Families Mrs. Eldon Stoker, Kyoki Nakanashi; and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christensen, children Six Japanese were sponsored by the and Labo International Exchange. They were here to learn to speak English by learning songs and' dances, acting out "Peter Pan" and various childrens records and also to see how the American people live. They were treated as one of the family. They have been here for a month and left Wednesday morning for Salt Lake City where they will do some shopping and sightseeing before flying home today, Aug. 20. Families sponsoring them and the childrens' names are: Mr. and Mrs. Mel Osborn, Kazumi Goto; Mr. and Mrs. Randy Bradshaw, Manami Mikami; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Skinner, Jumpei Kizu; Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Yardley, Hindeomi Suzuki; Mr. and 4-- Noi-chi- Koizumi. They also took Lacy to see the Movie "The Fox and The Hound" which she really enjoyed. Clair and Helen Gillins spent four days in Price visiting with their grandson -- Steven and Wendy Stoker and children. While they were there they enjoyed Price Fair days by attending the parade and the rodeo. Recent visitors to the H. and Betty Naruse home were their sons Donald, his wife and family of Texas and Dick, his wife and family of California. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hiatt and LeeAnn traveled to Eugene, Oregon to visit with their daughter Cheri. After touring around that beautiful city, they continued on to Seattle, Washington where they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Cary (Patti) Cammack. They attended a session at the Seattle Temple with their son, Randy and his fiancee Lee Anne Elzey on Friday and then met Cheri in Seattle and spent the balance of the day sightseeing. On Saturday, they all enjoyed the wedding of Randy and Lee Anne. Brad Gale long time friend of Randy's and the family flew to Seattle for the wedding also. The Hiatt's then went on to Potlatch, Idaho where they enjoyed meeting the friends of the Cammack family at the Open House honoring Patti and Cary. On their way home, they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Bradshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Dee VanTassell and families in Weiscr, Idaho. The Bradshaw's and d VanTassell's are former residents. Things really got quite exciting here in Milford the first of the week when lightning hit a tree on the railroad park splitting all the bark off the back of the tree and a branch flew over to the railroad track and little branches were all over the lawn. Later that evening another branch fell from it and again the next morning another branch fell. It was so loud that it really scared everyone who was very close to it, and it really sent out a big cloud of smoke when it hit. tj (I & THESE (fiD)(Pl Milford News William and Berniece Warren of West Point, Utah spent a relaxing weekend with their daughter Kent and Randee Mellor and granddaughter Malina. West Point is near Hillfield. Burgundy, Ashley, and Cassie Alleman of Sandy, Utah have been here spending about 10 days with their , grandparents Jim and Marge Sherwood. They are the children of David and Laura Alleman. Wednesday, David and Laura and the Sherwood's other daughter Linda Conway of Tooele arrived to spend the weekend and the Alleman's will take the children home. .Linda will spend a few days until her husband John and children Derek and Lisha come to take her home. The Conway's are in Payson, Arizona visiting with John's brother and family. Jim Sherwood is retiring from the Railroad. He was making his last trip to Las Vegas Thursday, Aug. 13th. Bea Oxley had a recent welcome visit from her daughter Amanda and Lynn Hansen and grandchildren Erin and Kelli Ann. The Hansen's live in Sandy, Utah. They were here for five days. Bea also traveled to Salt Lake for her regular health checkup last Thursday and returned Sunday. While there, she visited with the Hansen's and also her niece and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Holbrook of Bountiful and her nephew Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lomax of Salt Lake. On her way home, she stopped in Nephi to visit with another niece Mr. and Mrs. Ron Anderson and family. Irene Stewart and James traveled to Provo Monday to get James's pickup where it had been left when he had his knee operated on and then they drove to Hiawatha. James was really glad to be back home. He is able to get about without crutches now and will be able to go back to work in a few weeks. Irene spent the night at James's place and visited with Robert and and Roni Jimenez family. She came home and brought her great grandson Lincoln Jimenez home to visit for awhile. Kathy Jimenez also rode home with her. Lincoln is staying with the Mel Walkers and visiting his grandparents John and Betty Jimenez and other relatives. Larry and Kathy Jimenez drove to Hiawatha Sunday evening. They stayed with his brother Robert Jimenez and family. Larry is staying for the week to attend a Safety class. Kathy came home with Irene Stewart.
