Adams, manager of the local Hunt's Foods, Inc. plant, at the close of a run. A peak crew of 150 men and women kept the machines going around the clock during the rush season to keep up with the flood of harvested peas. Around 136 growers in all parts or tne Bear River valley have 775 acres in peas, and though early frost killed only 28 acres, the yield per acre was lower than during last year and quality of yield was affected by the inclement weather. Hunt Foods field men are now surveying the tomato crop, to determine possible dates for the tomato harvest. Frost damage to the tomato crops will delay harvest, according to Mr. Adams, but an early estimate sets plant operation start-u- p for September first. 22-d- ay secretary. YW Mrs. Helen eat is 's.
