About 24,000 tons of beets have been received from other factory districts, Mr Christensen stated. The average tonnage this year, a record breaker, is 19 tons per acre for the Garland district, while at the same time the sugar content has been most satisfactory. A district meeting of the Box Elder, Cache and Rich Counties Utah Crop Improvement association will be held in the Utah Power and Light Co. auditorium on Wednesday, January 7, at 2 p. m. Mr. Conine, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Conine, died in a Pocatello hospital, Monday, December 22. The Invocation, benediction and scriptural reading were given by Reverend Stephens and speakers were Paul Boetticher and Reverend Burner of the Presbyterian Church in Logan. Musical numbers for the ser vices were rendered by a duet, Mrs. Thomas Harrison and Mrs. Paul Boetticher, accompanied by Mrs. Adam Brenkman.
