The Centennial Beautification committee have spent the past week checking on the work done in our community during the past year. There have been classes held to instruct people in the art of beautification, motion pictures have been shown and the improvement in farmstead beautification has been very satisfying. Plans for the improvement of the school grounds have been drawn. As soon as the approval of the school board comes, this work can go forward. Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Christensen, Mrs. Martina Larsen and Janusine Petersen attended a shower in Ogden given for Mrs. Robert Kelstrom last week. Miss Carol Craghead was an overnight guest of Miss Carol Petersen last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Hansen were made very happy this week when they were presented with a new grandson. The proud parents are Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hansen. Primary was held Tuesday afternoon. The children were thrilled with their stories of the preparation of the Pioneers to start the trek across the plains.
