Among the teachers them- selves, the National Education Association, which boasts a membership of well over 1,000,000 teachers, has been reaching out to State and Local groups, lending the support of their great Organization in helping teachers in their fight to make teaching attractive enough to draw worthy new recruits. The National Journal Education Association is the one individual service of the Association reaching every member every month. Recently the Officers and Staff of the Association, striving to produce a more vital, servicable Journal selected Dr. Neeley as one in a hundred, chosen from the total N. E. A. membership, to evaluate and guide in planning the Journal for next year. Tremonton, Utah Mr. and Mrs. James Francis, formerly Miss Ma urine Biddle) of Collinston are happy to announce the birth of a baby boy at the Budge hospital in Logan on Sunday. On Sunday night, the Beaver ward had an exceptionally fine conjoint session. The Beaver Sextette sang, "My Testimony", and the Beaver Chorus sang, "TTue To The Faith." The congregation joined in on the song service. President Smith gave a wonderful talk directed to the youth of our Church. Virgil Francom sang, "The Lord Is My Shepherd." Gloria Durfey gave a centennial musical reading accompanied on the piano by Joan Foster, playing "Come, Come Ye Saints." In all, it was a treat of both music and encouragement to our young boys and girls as well as grown-up- s. Saturday morning, the two Patrol Scout Troops of Beaver ward, under the direction of Max Thatcher, their scout leader, started out over the mountains around Cutler Dam, the older boys going a half hour earlier and scattering signs and marks for the' younger boys to follow their trail. The younger boys were able to complete the whole trip, in this way, and finally caught up with them, tired and hungry, at which time they ate their lunches and returned home, all feeling it had been a perfect day.
