Mrs. Heaton died on the 12th after several weeks' illness. She was burieI in Portage. Her husband was buried just three months ago. Surviving in addition to Darrel are three other brothers and two sisters. Richards, also a former bishop and C. E. Smith. Mr. Nichols spoke of the great asset to the Garland ward and Bear River Valley Brother Kirkham had been, of his happy associations with him and the great deal of good. he had accomplished. In his remarks, Mr. Gaddie spoke of his early acquaintance with the Kirkham family, of his fine leadership ability of his truly religious nature and his love of flowers and his own community. Mr. Richards told of the work accomplished during the time he had worked in the Garland ward bishopric with the deceased and of his loyal service in every calling made of him. President Smith called him a man of God, humble in his devotion to duty and sincere in his knowledge of right. He mentioned the spirit under which he spoke while giving blessings and paid high tribute to him as a man. The closing remarks were made by the Bishop.
