Ned E. Oyler, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oyler of Tremonton ,has returned from the Pacific where he was a radio operator with a headquarters squadron of the First Marine Air Wins based in the Solomon and Philippine islands. He escaped injury although his base was bombed several times by the Japanese. The Marine radioman gradu ated from Bear River high school in 1942 and in March of the fol lowing year he enlisted in the Ma rine Corps. He was promoted to his present rank last February.
