Bradshaw, of Tremonton, is proud of his cooking so proud, in fact, that he will go through mortar and machine gun fire to bring sample of his art to people who will eat it. Lt. Bradshaw had whipped up some raisin pies one night, and his fellow workers at the 2nd Battal ion, 114th Infantry Regiment, sat around and said, "Isn't that nice," and continued to munch their C Rations and treats from home. "Anyway," Lt. Bradshaw said,"the doughboys on outpost duty would love these pies," so he took off. On the way he passed through three areas that the Germans were busily machine gunning Each time he slid to the ground I without damaging the precious pies. Three times spent fragments of motar shells hit his coat, but i didn't hurt him or the pies The happy ending to the story is that the doughfeet in the out posts happily devoured all the pies and even asked for more, "Such wonderful people," Lieu- tenant Bradshaw said.
