A Thought For the Week: "SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT" Next week we enter into the season of Lent, which is a good time for increased emphasis upon spiritual renewal. We need nourishment for our spiritual lives as much as we need nourishment for our physical needs. Our behaviour in public is largely governed by our unvoiced thought life when alone. Just as a tree flourishes, or is stunted, according to whether its rootlets are drawing in rich nourishment from the soil, or whether these rootlets are grouping amidst the barrenness which inhibits growth; so, too, our outv-aractions are the product of hidden processes going on in our minds. The time we consciously spend In the presence of God either in private devotions or in public wor ship can influence our actions for the good. The best way to econo mize our time in this respect it to "take time out to be holy."
