Show BEAR RIVER VALLEY LEADER- Page Four Social Hems HONORS SON ON BIRTHDAY BRIDGE CLUB MEETS Mrs. Ross Miller was the gra cious hostess Friday afternoon at the last meeting of the G. S. S. Club members. Phoebe Henrie was a euest of the hostess. The hostess served a delicious luncheon after which the ladies enjoyed their game of Bridge. Awards for play went to Ellery Ballard, Idella Allen and Effie Maughn. Mrs. Harry Taylor entertained twelve boys and grils Friday afternoon in honor of her son John's eighth birthday. Games were played and refreshments served to the following: Carol Ann Cochran, Linda Marble, Jimmie Waldron, Kirk Waldron, Dale Allen, Bernard Hill, Dal Kent, Jay Allen, Beverly DINNER AT Hill, Lund Taylor and Imn Moore. t ART RARN The Misses Ruby Harris and Eva Beutler were in Layton Monday evening to attend the wedding of a school associate, Miss Norene Call. j6 iC., pi mm ok The Simada Study Group held its annual spring dinner at the Art Barn in Salt Lake City, Friday evening. The Alpha Chapter acted as hostesses with the following members of the Beta Chapter from Tremonton as guests: Vemell Morrison, Margurette Wassom, Marilyn Leavitt, Glena Hales, Roma Whitaker and Mabel Romer. The tables were beautifully arranged with spring flowers. The head table was centered with a lighted beacon, Simada's symbol The theme of the evening was Ship Simada, which was carried out in the place cards and toasts. The local girls returned home with new and added enthusiasm for the coming season. The course of is, "A study chosen for 1944-4- 5 n of the Past Study of Five Years." CIVIC CLUB HEARS GARDEN TALK The Tremonton Women's Civic League met last week with Mrs. Frank Stevens as hostess. The program consisted of readings given by June Baird and a talk on flow ers and flower arrangements by Orson Garff of Logan, who was presented to the club by Mrs. Fred Gephart.
