Boyd Borgstrom of Thatcher, is home on a 30 day furlough after having spent 18 months in the North Pacific. Following his furlough he wiU report to a camp in North Carolina. Another son of Mr. and Mrs. Albin Borgstrom, Rulon, just returned to his base in Texas a few days before Boyd arrived home. has completed his course of studies as an aviation mechanic in the Army Air Forces Technical Train- Murder Victim's Kin brother, Corp. Warner Thompson and wife at Louisville, Kentucky. The boys surely enjoyed visiting each other. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson also had from their other son, Pfc. McDonald, who is stationed in the Aleutians, that he has been trans-fere- d from the Infantry to the Engineers Corps. All these boys are well and anxious to do their ing school at Amarillo, Texas. His graduation from this technical school now fits him for airplane maintenance and he will be sent to some air base where he will assist in keeping America's Flying Fortresses in the air for allied victory. In addition to completion of the schedule of academic and practical studies as an aviation mechanic, he has been thoroughly drilled in military tactics and defense and a course of physical training that has conditioned him to meet all requirements of an American d part. Pvt. Caseel Burke is spending a week's furlough with his wife and son. He has been attending an Army administration school at Washington Jefferson college at Washington, Pa. He will report back to Pennsylvania. Mrs. Burke has been teaching school in during his absence and is living with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Hansen. Ensign Glen A. Carlson, of the Merchant Marines, left for New York last weekend after spending two weeks in Trmonton visiting his mother, Mary E. Petersen at toe Valley Hospital. Glen will sail from New York. Lt. and Mrs. Farrell Munns, of Florida, returned to his base Tuesday after spending an furlough as guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Munns of Corp. Maurice Thompson, has written to his mother, Mrs. Junius Thompson from Schick General Hospital at Clinton, Ohio. He has been on a trip to Alabama and enjoyed seeing new country. Frank B. Ward, who is connected with the Medical Corps, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ward of Riverside, arrived home Monday morning to spend his furlough with friends and relatives of this section. Adams of Tremonton has been transferred from Marana Air Field to Williams Air Field, Arizona, to complete his training. The Leader Office this week received a letter from Lt. Dean V. Orwin saying that he had again been moved and giving his location as somewhere in the Aleutians. He says, "I am well and enjoying the best of health. The weather in the Aleutians is much different than I am used to but not so severe as I had expected.
