While we should give some thought to education every week, it is a good idea to appoint a special time for a more intensive consideration of this vital force in American "K life. Many people, not directly connect ed with education have vague ideas about what the schools today are teaching and why. American Education Week is an excellent time for patrons and those interested in education to get acquainted with the schools and teachers in their community. A visit to the school offers an excellent and most satisfactoiy means of becoming acquainted with modern educational philosophy and with the teachers who are in constant contact with your children the greater part of the day. Such a visit affords you the opportunity to get the teachers view points about education and life, and to discuss your school problems with them, with you making them in the great field of education. cooperation tends to elim inate any friction that may exist between teacher and school on the one hand and parent and home on the other. Better understanding between both units adjusts most satisfactorily personality problems. Schools are such a vital source to the American way of life that good citizens and patrons should feel interest and cooperation continually throughout the year. That you may have an opportunity to better know your school, we are inviting every parent to visit the school anytime during next week and participate in the observance of Amer iman Education Week November 10 to 16.
