Jess Sims left for Pasadena, California, where he was called by the serious illness of his father, who had undergone a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Sims were visiting at the home of their son and his wife when Mr. Sims was taken ill, and was taken home. Mesdames Frank B. Relief Society conference held Sun day evening was very successful. Talks by the class leaders and Presi dent Viola Shuman were enjoyed. Special musical numbers were a duet, Mrs. Eva Petersen and Mrs. Lucille Berchtold, accompanied by Mrs. Irene Shuman, and a trio by Mrs. Marie Petersen, Mrs. Irene Shuman and Mrs. Aurelia Bosley. Mrs. Zina Stander, of the stake board and O. A. Seager were in attendance. Mr. Seager also visited Sunday School. The Relief Society wish to express their thanks to those who helped with the cleaning of the church house, especially do we thank the members of, the priesthood, who came to help. Alma King, Owen Ward and Miss Michaelis, of the M. I. A. stake board attended the meeting held Tuesday evening. Parties were held featuring Hallowe'en.
