Dewey, who has directed the destiny of the association of Utah Fairs since its organization, was reelected as its head Wednesday at Salt Lake City at the annual meeting of the association. Mrs. Pearl Hunsaker of Honeyville, and Miss was named Martha Gibbs, of Salt Lake, was reelected secretary. The board of direc tors are N. J. Crookston, Cache county; Robert Chapin, Morgan county; and Frank Lundskog, of Salt Lake county. Mrs. Hunsaker was also named as president of the woman's auxilliary to the association, a new unit formed that day. Mrs. David W. Moffat, of Murray, was chosen and Mrs. Vera Carter, of Morgan, will serve as secretary. At the meeting which was held at the Newhouse Hotel, 75 members, representing 14 counties, attended. The states comprising the division are Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii and-thPhilippines. The purpose of the confer tnce is education in music and will be direct ed by leading musicians of the United States. The director of the band will be A. A. Harding, director of the University of Illinois band. Ten names were submitted from the local high school, all eligible for participation. The six accepted were chosen as to instrumentation and are as follows: Farrell Archibald, Ray Trinnaman, of Garland; Ruby Nischl-gucof Fielding; Junior Anderson, of Thatcher; and Vemon Cook and Jimmy Walton, of Tremonton. The musicians will be assembled and will be schooled under director Harding for a few days before appearing in a concert and national broadcast. This is the first time that the Bear River High School has rated eligible to enter the conference. C. C.
