Smith of Fielding, and an advanced student at the University of Utah, has been elected to the National Scientific Honorary Society, Sigma Xi The university has the only chapter in Utah and it was organized last year. All men elected are judged on the basis of scientific research which must be published. J. Harold has just completed an extensive study of the "Absorption Rates of Carbon Dioxide," which is being published in a National Chemical magazine.
