Mr. Valentine stated that past appropriations had been appreciated and had been exceptionally helpful to the dairymen of this vicinity. Mr. Valentine asked for $150. The matter was taken under advisement. A. G. Nord, superintendent of the Cache National Forest, H. H. Price, forest ranger, C. F. Smith, CCC superintendent at Willard, and Robert H. Stewart, appeared before the board Mr. Nord presented the following subjects: The placing of Box Elder county park under the national forestry service of the government. Mr. Nord continued by saying that to be placed under the service, the property must be deeded to the government and that initiative must be taken by the county. The commissioners reacted favorably to placing the park under the forestry service and informed Mr. Nord that the Box Elder county park committee would be called into session in the near future for the purpose of disposing of this proposal. Mr. Nord proposed that the gentlemen present make a trip to the Willard watershed area for the purpose of investigating the work of the CCC boys stationed at Willard. The commissioners accepted this proposal and visited this vicinity today (Thursday). R. V. Call, residing at Promontory Point, Utah, appeared before the com missioners and requested that the road from Boothe Valley school house to Promontory Point, a distance of 14 miles, be graded and placed in a better condition. Mr. Call also requested the graveling of a mile along this road and replacing of one culvert. After discussion, the commissioners advised Mr. Call that they would personally visit this road district Robert Nish and Thomas Nish of Plymouth, appeared and asked the commissioners to improve the road running in a north eastern direction from Plymouth for a distance of ap proximately 1 mile in order that haz ardous traveling conditions may be eliminated. This matter was referred to road supervisor T. J. Udy. C. J. Members of the High School Cam era Club enjoyed a trip to Logaa can yon last Sunday where they snapped scenes of the wonderful autumn col , oring with their cameras. Leaving Tremonton about 11 a. m. the party, which filled two automo biles proceeded to the Girls camp, where, though handicapped somewhat by cloudy weather, they began taking pictures. After a lunch at the camp they went on to Old Juniper, the oldest living thing in America, where they took pictures and enjoyed the scenery.
