Journalism Dept.)g Tomorrow (Friday) the Bears 'will encounter the Preston in the last home game of the season. Sports critics have picked Bear River to win, but me tiears are Prestaking no chances. Even though one game won league ton has only thus far. that win was made last week and the against the Logan Grizzlies, will stop Riverites want no upset that their progress toward a league championship. Coach Tripp is expecting the boys to be in good shape. Redd Bishop, rieht halfback, will probably be re covered from his knee injury so as to be able to be in tomorrow's game, li is doubtful whether Dick Welling, right end, will have recovered from a sprained ankle received in the Box Elder game. Remembering the crowd that jammed the grounds three weeks ago, school officials are anticipating that large numbers of people will be on hand to see this last home game of the year. The Bears have yet to meet North Cache and South Cache, both games being away from home. Bears Defeat Lava In Practice Game The practice game at Lava High last week was rather an easy victory for the Bears, with a lopsided score of 27 to 0. The Lava team made only one scoring threat when they completed a forward pass and later led for a gain of about 50 yards to put the ball on the Bears' 15 yard line. But there the team held, and Bear River took the ball on an intercepted pass. Manning ran from his own 10 yard line to the Lava 5 yard line where he was tackled from behind. Good interference helped make this run possible. Although Lava was some fine proshowed outplayed they mises. This was only the second game they have lost, Malad having beaten them 13 to 0. pace-settin- EA5i . rwuc nj . r?4 a 1 -- Of Football Season TUlftO SToPPeD To pjck jj Large Crowd Expected At Last Home bame tT I TUmiftUT nww KUVI" -TROTieO t - Ml B ll-4t- 4 room Partly modern FOR RENT Grace Mrs. Inquire apartment.
