This particular new form is to be signed by those 65 and over, who's income is under $30 a month. The new plan, as provided for by the Maw bill passed by the Legislature after bitter contention, aims to eliminate much of the tedious and humiliating investigation followed under the old plan. Investigation of relatives' financial condition is to be wholly eliminated. All that will be required is proof that he or she has a total income less than $30 a month. Amount of assistance is to be based upon the actual needs of the individual, taking into consideration the amount of income 'available to him from all sources. Most of the hay is in the stacks. The sugarbeet crop looks fairly well. Those attending the Grover reunion Saturday and Sunday, at Rlgby, Ida were: Bishop and Mrs. D. Merlin Grover, Melvin Grover and Mrs. Lucille G. Berchtold, Mr. and Mrs. Perry L. Stanfill, John L. and Jed and Misses Sherma and Beverly Stanfill. Following the reunion they spent part of the week at Yellowstone park. Miss Murl Miller was an invited guest of the Stenquist family on Thursday of last week at Lagoon, where all the former residents of Sweden gathered to Tenew acquaintances. The little Misses Evelyn Jensen and Lorna Shuman returned home Friday evening. Lorna has been suffering from infection in the left leg. She is improving at this writing. Scott and D. M. Grover are in Utah as guests of their uncle, and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morris. Little Miss LaVerne Anderson spent the weekend with her aunt here. Mr. and Mrs. W. Morgan Miller and daughters, Marjorie, Faye, Gloria and Virginia, were in Salt Lake City as guests of the Knighthood cf Youth club of the Tribune, in the Tribune auditorium, where Miss Marjorie received a medal for being the highest Topnotcher jin the club. To be this she had to have the highest points for the past eighteen months. At the program she gave a reading and on KSL gave the acceptance speech for the medal. Marjorie, with her three sisters had their pictures taken by the Thibune staff, which appeared in the Sunday paper. Instead of medals, as a reward for the future work, these young Knighthood people will be paid money for their efforts. Consequently Miss Marjorie received $2.00 for the best drawing, which appeared in Sunday's Tribune. We feel this is quite an honor to come to her. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hunter, of Ogden, were weekend guests of Mrs. Hunter's mother, Mrs. Sarah K. Shuman. Mrs. Hunter remained to visit this week with her mother. Master Kay Shuman, who has been ill, spent three days with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Miller. Mr. and Engvar Petersen enjoyed a day in the canyon with Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Petersen on Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Petersen and family of Promontory were Sunday visitors here.
