The Garland Lions Club presented awards for outstanding band perform ers to Cleo Marble, Vica Hall, Ruth Snow, DelMar Thompson, Mary Jane Davis, Shirley Beard, Noel Cook and LaVerd John. The Dr. Schaffer Scholarship award was made to Dick Welling. Shirley Ballard received the Home Economics Club award and Amy Christopherson was given the award for high point girl in physical education. The Bunderson award for high point business student went to Lois Thompson. Beth Smith received the Henegar Business College scholarship.
