Wilkensen, 57, well known painter and decorator of this city, died at a hospital in Yakima, 'Wash, ington, Sunday morning at 6:15 following an operation performed Thursday. The cause of his death was pneumonia, which set in following the operation for bowel stricture. Mr. and Mrs. Wilkensen were visiting their daughter, Mrs. Rollie Bur-nain Yakima when he was taken ill. His body was shipped from Washington arriving here Tuesday night. Mr. Wilkensen came to this community 18 years ago following his marriage to Mrs. Harriet Kiiby. Teachers Planning" Holiday Journeys BRIGHAM CITY, Dec. 21 All Box Elder county schools let out for Christmas holidays Wednesday afternoon with appropriate programs in their respective rooms. In the primary grades the teachers have obtained Christmas trees and the children the fun of decorating them. Each child has brought his teacher a small gift which has hung on the tree. On Wednesday afternoon these gifts were distributed and the boys and girls turned loose for play and holiday enjoyment until the new year. The deceased had been confin- ed to his home for the past nine years, The speakers were W. Calvin Wal- dron, Leslie Anderson, Joseph Nelson, Bishop A. M. Seeley of Park Valley, President C. E. Smith and tsisnop Adams. Music was furnished by a double mixed quartette from Thatcher, a solo by Rosa Adams, and a quartette by the Miller brothers of Penrose. The deceased was born at Brigham City in 1889 and lived there until he reached manhood. He married Miss Sarah Callahan, of Park Valley, where they resided until 17 years ago when they came to Thatcher, where the deceased engaged in farming and livestock raising. He was a member of the L. Tl. S. church. He is survived by his wife, and one brother, Lorenzo W.
