Mrs. Gene Schieb and daughters of Salt Lake City, were guests of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fryer thi"? week. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph I. Dewey, is improving from his illness. His many friends and relatives are very grateful and when the spring weather is warmer are in the hopes of seeing his smiling face around once more. Folks from Salt Lake City, Ogden, Willard, Brigham City, Honeyville, Bear River City, Tremonton, Logan Peters bo ro, Collins ton. Portage, Wood ruff, Garland and Smithfield were guests at the ward reunion and home coming Friday, February 21, 1936. About three hundred and fifty were seated at long tables decorated in patriotic colors with Washington favors. The dinner consisted of a hot plate menu with cake and icecream as desert. During the day and evening fome five hundred participated. At 6:30 o'clock a hot beef sandwich was served to all present. At 7:30 o'clock a most pleasing program was rendered by home folk. Two orchestras furnished the old time and new dance music. All committees are to be commended on the success of one of the best socials held in our ward for a long time, especially the dinner and program committee. The tap dancing, under the direction of Miss Virginia Warts of Smithfield, was enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson and family spent Saturday at Logan. Max Germer spent the weekend here with his parents, returning to his school at Provo. Mrs. J. W. Spackman is spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Johnson at Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. James Etherington spent Saturday at Logan. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Barnard spent Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Veral Barnard at Warren. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Heusser were in Ogden on Thursday, Saturday, under the direction of scout officials the boy scouts gathered wood for the church. The scouts enjoy doing good turns. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Chidester of Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chidester Friday. Mm Ann Beeton of Woodruff, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beverege and little son and De Loveland of Salt Lake, visited at the home of Mrs. A. A. Loveland, also attended the ward reunion Friday. Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. John Arbon were call ed to Ogden last week on account of an accident to their Eon, Lyman, who is attending school there. He hurt his foot quite seriously. Stephen Sanders came from Salt Lake to visit for a few days. By Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Eldredge went to Salt Lake Tuesday and returned home Saturday. While there they vis ited their daughter, Effie, who is attending business college. Mr. and Mrs. James Peterson visit ed in Salt Lake and Syracuse with their daughters, Mrs. , Grant Hoi ton and Mrs. Vern Bodily last week. Mrs. Bodily returned with them. Mrs. N. C. Nelson entertained a group of friends Wednesday evening. After a luncheon was served cards ' were played. Mrs. James Peterson has been ill with a heart attack, but is much improved at this writing. Almon N. Wight and Leland Watt were in Brigham Monday on business. Phyllis Roche visited Friday at the home of Opal Wight of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs, A. W.'
