Jenkins entertained the Attest: members of the Rebekah Lodge Monday evening in compliment to Mrs. Sarah Hadley. Sixteen were present (SEAL) Mrs. Hadley was presented with a gift by those present. JrTfTN. E. Shaw and Mrs, Edgar Winchester entertained the P. N. U. at bridge, Monday afternoon at the home of Mrs. N. E. Shaw. Mrs. Ward Shuman won high prize and Mrs. Dave Holmgren low. A dinner party was given Saturday night at the Dewey home in honor of Lloyd Harris, who recently returned from a mission. Those present besides the truest of honor were: Irene Pack, Doll Harris, Mary and Virginia Dewey, Chester Fronk, Ned Waldron and Rupert Blackham. After dinnir the group went to Brigham and enjoyed the rest of the evening dancing. Wednesday evening the dragons returned the compliment to the S. O. D. H. girls by giving them a delicious banquet and dance in the private party room in the Idle Isle at Brigham. Elwood Nearly all mothers and a few of the fathers of high school students enjoy- ed the wonderful program given at the High School last Wednesday. Each year more interest in taken and each year the program and exhibit seems better than the previous year. It surely was appreciated by all who attended, Ir. Webb of Monroe gave a health lecture last Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nielsen, to some twenty neighbors. After the lecture a dinner was served to demonstrate the fine flavor preserved by cooking in the everwear utinsils. The lecture as well as the supper wa3 enjoyed by all present. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Romer and baby went to Brigham City on business last Friday. The Apres Midi Club held their meeting at the home of Mrs. Erma Miller last Friday. It was a shower in honor of Daisy , Hansen; who? was left homeless a couple' of weeks ago, when fire destroyed their home. The people here turned out very good last Friday, when fourteen attended the Temple excursion at Lo"'gan. Miss Regina Jensen. 'of Brigham City spent the week, jmd visiting at the home of V. L,"sHansen, prior to her leaving for a mission to the north western states. She was a former teacher here. Mrs. Annie Munns and Alice Nye, of Garland, visited at V. L. Hansen's Friday. They also enjoyed the school operetta given here Friday evening. Many out of town guests from Tremonton, Bear River City, Brigham City and Garland enjoyed the evening. Mrs. Lawrence Durant and baby, Beth, of Salt Lake City, spent last week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hansen. Vennon Hansen spent the week end home from the U. of U. The Misses Ardes and Eva Adams of East Garland visited Miss Vera Hansen Friday and attended the operetta. Veda and Luby Rasmussen spent the week end home from Salt Lake - Itas Student Body Elect Lavin Robinsen of Tremonton was guest of Mrs. Winona Duran last Sat urday'at the home of Mr .and Mrs. Lawrence Hansen. Mrs. Verla Miller and baby have gone to stay with Mrs. Caroline Miller in Tremonton, who took very ill Friday, due to high blood pressure. Mrs. Wagstaff of Perry spent the week end visiting her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Petersen. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Miller and children went to Logan Sunday to visie Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Frank. Mrs. M. L.
